SimBank - A Bank Financial Management Simulation
This simulation requires the participant to manage a commercial bank from a
funds management standpoint. The major emphasis of the simulation involves the
structuring and pricing of earning assets and liabilities, and asset/liability
management. Other decisions involve setting promotional expenditures, personnel
salaries, and increasing the number of branches.
The products sold by the bank includes five types of deposits and five types of
loans. Funding can be obtained in the form of subordinate bonds, Fed Funds,
stock or loans from the Federal Reserve Bank. In addition, the bank can sell
mortgage loans.
Participants have access to
an Excel template to make financial projections.
